Lazybag Maindrop system / Mainsail Storage system

Protects the sail against UV radiation, moisture and dirt. Quick and easy to assemble without drilling: The mainsail storage system is simply pulled into the groove of the boom with the bottom of the mainsail.

If the bottom of your mainsail is not fixed in the boom, check whether the boom has this slot. If this is the case, we will supply a tendon. If this tendon is too thin, you can also use a line with the correct diameter.

You can simply feed the reefing lines through the intended openings. A head cover is included for the front part. The head cover overlaps the lazy bag part that is attached to the boom. The overlap section also includes the adjustment of the minimum and maximum size.

"Between the boom cover and the mast, there is always an open space; this is normal and ensures that the system can be mounted on different boom lengths. This space is covered by the head cover when you store the sail."

The mainsail bag system is delivered complete with sail battens, a head cover, and a comprehensive manual. Not included are the 2 pulleys for the mast or the sail slides and the lazyjack lines (If you order the lazyjack lines in combination with a maindrop cover in our webshop, you will automatically receive a €60 combination discount at checkout). Available for various boom lengths in 5 colors.

All you have to do is measure the boom length and choose the correct length cover. If the head cover does not fit properly, but the rest does, you can exchange it for a size larger or smaller. You can even shorten the cover in both length and height through our clever use of Holdon clips. This is all explained in the manual that you can download after ordering and is very simple

Note the dimensions in the PDF with an eclipse shape, these are circumference dimensions. The other sizes are measured flat.

For boom / boom lengths from 240 to 280 cm we recommend size XS

For boom / boom lengths from 270 to 309 cm we recommend size S

For boom / boom lengths from 310 to 359 cm we recommend size M

For boom/boom lengths from 360 to 419 cm we recommend size L

For boom/boom lengths from 420 to 490 cm we recommend size XL

Attention! To assemble the lazybag, you need 2 pulleys for under the sail or on the side of the mast and a lazyjack line set. These are not included as standard but can be ordered separately in our webshop.
After ordering you will have the option to download an extensive manual. The product itself also comes with a QR code that you can scan and refers to this manual.

• Fabric: Masacryl Special is a Spanish fabric from Sauleda and weighs 310 gr/m2. We offer this in 5 colors. 1.Royal blue, 2.Blue, 3.Off white, 4.Beige and 5.Grey. (The official color names from Sauleda are 1.Azul Real, 2.Marino, 3.Blanco, 4.Beige and 5.Gris) View the specifications via this link.

• Zippers:We use quality zippers from Kroko from Belgium.
• Lazyjack lines: We use a specially woven tipolest 5 mm with low friction rings for the lazyjack lines.
  Woven tipolest does not kink and is very flexible and very UV resistant.
• Sewing threads: We use a very expensive and special PTFE thread from Solarfix. This thread usually outlasts the fabric, thereby preventing the risk of loose and frayed seams. This way, we guarantee a durable product.

• • Sail Battens: We use round 12 mm fiberglass battens from Contender, which consist of 2 or 3 parts depending on the length. The parts are connected to each other with 10 cm long anodized aluminum connecting tubes 16 x 1.5 mm.
